Hi all,
Please find link below to a number of accounts of life in the Africa’s Sahel region after the onset of Corona. This document represent an emerging collaboration between L2GP and International Media Support (IMS) with a focus on the role of community media during the the corona crisis:
“This year … it was like we were in a closed bottle…..”
Living with the threat of Covid-19 – experiences from Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso

Please also look up (link below) a mini-series of five corona-films from the Sahel (Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger in West Africa) produced by Sahelian filmmakers & supported by IMS. The videos offer more glimpses into local realities and the challenges that citizens are facing due to the imposed regulations and restrictions: “Filmmakers from Sahel document life during times of coronavirus”

Also from our colleagues at IMS, a very strong testimony from a young journalist in Yemen who has made it her calling to attract attention to Yemen’s hidden struggle with Covid-19. Watch the account here.
(The soundtrack is in English and Arabic with Danish subtitles - we will let you know, once a version with English subtitles become available.)

You can find earlier updates with examples of community action to Covid-19 at the top of L2GP’s News blog

All the best
